A musician his entire professional life, Richard Hastings holds music degrees from USC (classical guitar) and Musician's Institute (studio and commercial guitar), and has recently completed the Masters Program at USC in Studio/Jazz Guitar. His performance experience covers a wide range of styles including Classical, Pop and Jazz. Richard is not only a captivating live entertainer but also is a successful studio musician, recording artist, composer, music educator and contractor. He has four CDs to his credit that include guest appearances by David Benoit, Snooky Young and Richard Elliot. He has opened for national acts including Chuck Mangione, Bobby Caldwell, Earl Klugh, Stanley Jordan, Stanley Clark and others.

Composed and performed two full length Jazz CD's on Cexton Records "Victim of Paradise" and "Everywhere But Home" which include guest artists David Benoit, Richard Elliott, Snooky Young, Kieth Jones and others. Arranged and performed two commercial CD's, Alone and Season's Greetings. Composed and recorded music for the play "Husbandry" by Patrick Tovatt starring Bob Parucha from the Young and the Restless. Session player and arranger for jingles, movies, TV, demos etc. Works for Disney, ABC, NPR, and others.
